The second workshop is exploring gouache, a water-based medium, but more opaque than watercolour giving more solid coverage. It is particularly suited to flat designs and often favoured by designers. It works especially well on coloured paper.  You will have the opportunity to work with this medium and produce a lovely piece of work.

These workshops will provide a rare opportunity to try different painting media with all materials provided.  Find the medium that suits you best or perhaps you will love them all equally once you have learned the techniques and the different effects you can achieve. Each workshop ends with a finished piece of artwork to inspire you on future creative journeys.

About the artist: Claire Jeanes holds a BA(hons) in Graphic Design with a specialism in illustration and has a Certificate of Education teaching qualification. Teaching is one element of her work and she holds art classes (in person and via Zoom) to help students improve their observational skills and techniques.The emphasis is equally on enjoyment and learning.
