Garden Party

THG will be celebrating the first year of their community ‘Wild Art’ garden with a garden party this May.
Following on from THG’s hugely-popular Halloween party last October, the fun-packed evening will feature art activities, face painting and music all the way from the U.S.A. Locally-sourced food including wood-fired pizzas, crêpes and gourmet burgers will be available and a bar.
The popular bluegrass duo ‘The Lowest Pair’ from Minneapolis have added the garden party to their UK tour. R2 Magazine describes them as “Vocal perfection”.
This family-friendly event is part of the national Museums at Night festival (17-20 May). The gallery’s exhibition Blooming Marvellous, featuring a spectacular life-size knitted garden will also be opening late for the party.
Angela Blackwell, THG Curator said: “This is going to be another great event for Honiton! Our last Halloween party won ‘Best Family Event’ in the Family Arts Festival awards. Join us to take part in a workshop to make your own willow bird feeders or some colourful, woolly pompoms!”
The party will take place on Friday 19 May from 5 to 9pm with art activities until 8pm.
