Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) welcomes visitors with disabilities.
The gallery is fully accessible to wheelchair users and a disabled parking bay is available in front of gallery. There is a flat path leading throught the garden to the entrance. The entrance has a wheelchair ramp. Ground Floor (all one level) - entrance hall leading to main gallery space, shop and refreshments area and accessible toilets. The gallery benefits from a platform lift to the first floor for visitors with mobility issues. First Floor (all on one level) - Project space, Learning Room, Thelma Hulbert Room, toilets. We have a wheelchair available inside the building and seating is available in the galleries and the garden. The refreshments area has unfixed tables and chairs to allow wheelchairs to manoeuvre.
Access for young families
There are baby changing facilities, wide access and a lift to upper floor for pushchairs. We can offer a quiet area for breastfeeding and feeding bottles can be warmed on request.
Access for the elderly
The gallery staff and volunteers have ongoing Dementia Friendly training and are part of Honiton Dementia Action Alliance. Wheelchair available and wide access.
Assistance dogs are welcome and water bowl is available at the gallery entrance.

THG is easily accessible from the town centre. From Honiton's High Street it is a short 5 minute walk. From the High Street, turn into Dowell Street and take the first turning on the right. The Gallery housed in a white Georgian building, is immediately to your left. There are bike racks on the left hand side of the Gallery.
There is pay and display parking and a disabled parking bay in front of THG in the Lace Walk car park.
By Public Transport
Thelma Hulbert Gallery is easily accessible by bus and rail. Contact www.journeydevon.info for up to date information on services to Honiton.
Honiton railway station is approx. 10 minute walk from THG. For buses stopping on the High Street it is approx. 5 minute walk to the gallery.
TRIP community transport
TRIP provide a disabled accessible vehicle service for the whole community, serving the Honiton area. The Honiton & District Ring & Ride is a fully accessible door to door bus service for wheel chair users covering the town and surrounding areas, providing transport for shopping & trips out.
