Submissions invited to THG Open

THG invites applications to the THG Open 2025 exhibition (12 July – 23 August).

Any South West-based artist can enter their work with the chance of being part of this ever-popular biennial art exhibition. 

Work can be in any media including painting, sculpture, photography, print, drawing, video, mixed and digital media. There is no theme. 

Artists can submit up to two artworks an entry fee of £10. Free entry for age 18-25 year olds (proof of age may be required).

  • Main Prize: £500
  • Emerging Artist Prize: £250
  • Visitors’ Choice Prize £100

Key dates:
Deadline: 13 June
Artists advised if selected: 20 June
Artists to drop off work: 3 and 4 July
Exhibition opening and prize-giving: 12 July

Judging Panel: Gemma Girvan – THG curator, Sharon James – artist and winner of THG Open 2023, Tim Martin – independent curator, Martin Staniforth – sculptor and co-founder of Creative Beings CIC, and a representative from THG Youth Network.

The THG Open is a key part of THG’s exhibition programme showcasing the rich talent of established and emerging contemporary visual artists living in the South West.
