This is an exhibition about simple, elegant objects. It makes subtle connections between the natural and the manmade, and between 3D objects and the 2D portrayal of objects.
We live in a world created by nature but designed by man. Everyday we interact with hundreds of objects, the majority of which we take for granted. Some are inventive and ingenious, some are full of poetry and memories and some seem indispensable but can ultimately be destructive. This exhibition by Alison Milner, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, and Steve Speller, a professional photographer, shows intriguing collections of manmade objects beside exquisite photographs of natural objects. The exhibition’s ultimate goal is to make us question the objects that surround us.
A book is available to accompany this exhibition together with ceramics by Alison Milner and Christiane Kersten in the THG Shop.
