Print and Stitch with Michelle Moinzadeh

1 October 2022

Details

Enjoy a wide range of print and embroidery skills to create your own stitched samples looking at the themes Ingrid Pollard has explored in her work.

1 October + 8 October, 10am - 3.30pm

In the morning, you can explore colour and create your own block to print on cloth. In the afternoon, you will learn how to draw with the sewing machine and hand embellish your samples. Choose from a wide range of beautiful threads and fabrics, including dissolvable fabric and Bondaweb.

The aim is to have fun with a wide range of techniques and explore similar themes to those which Ingrid Pollard has explored in her work. The samples you create will be displayed as fabric postcards. Select one of your designs to be displayed at THG and the rest of your samples and skills can be adapted for your future projects.

£35 for each day or £60 for both. Beginner/intermediate. The workshop will be a relaxed environment where skills and techniques can be shared. Refreshments provided, please bring your own lunch.

WHAT’S INCLUDED? All resources including sewing machine, fabric paints and dyes, embroidery threads as well as fabric.
