Carl Larsson (1853 – 1919) is known as the grandfather of Swedish painting. He was born in the Gamla Stan neighbourhood of Stockholm in very poor circumstances. We will explore how Larsson became a major representative of the Arts and Crafts movement in Europe. Together, we will enjoy his beautiful paintings and watercolours which depict joyous scenes of his idyllic family life in the countryside.
