Over 160 visitors came to the opening of our new exhibition featuring South West artists. The South West Academy Winter Exhibition features the best work by members of the South West Academy of Fine & Applied Arts.

The exhibition was opened by Councillor Andrew Moulding, Chairman of East Devon District Council who said,

"I am delighted to open this selling exhibition, which features many diverse artworks showing the breadth of art across the entire South West region including Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset. Alongside the curator and staff at THG, I would also like to recognize the gallery’s fantastic team of volunteers who make all this possible”

Artist and Chair of the South West Academy, Phil Creek, who sold out of all his artworks and prints on the first day commented,

“I would like to thank THG for all their support and delivering another great exhibition. Living in East Devon, I am so proud to have Thelma Hulbert Gallery here. It really is the jewel in the crown of East Devon. I know many other areas would love to have a gallery of this calibre on their doorstep!

There are two coordinating activities for this exhibition - an exhibition tour and workshop on 9 February and a Family Workshop on 14 February. Don’t forget to book your place!”

The exhibition continues until 24 February.
