This exhibition is a celebration of the creative possibilities of paper and a response to our recent presentation of ‘On Paper’: an Arts Council Touring Exhibition.
Two contemporary artists, Sophia Clist and Jessica Palmer will work with members of our local community to create new artworks exploring how paper can be cut, scrunched, marked, moulded and much more.
From participatory paper sculpture to delicate lace-like paper cuts, free-form paper clothing to intricate origami, this exhibition takes you on a journey exploring all the possibilities of paper from the very first sheet. Drop into our Paper Play Lab and experiment with us!
THG is committed to working with the community, supporting health and wellbeing and inspiring people through creative projects and activities. The two artists led paper-based workshops engaging different community groups, working with young people with mental health issues at Headlight East Devon, Honiton Memory Café and pupils from Honiton Community College.
Join us for the opening at our garden party on Saturday 25 May, 5-8pm.
