South West Academy exhibition

An exhibition of work by members of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts

Artists of the South West Academy, including many established names such as Prof. Alan Cotton, FRSA and Peter Randall-Page, RA bring together a new body of work focusing on paintings, photographs and prints.

The South West Academy is a registered charity dedicated to advancing the creation and appreciation of art in the South West region. Its core membership, the academicians are outstanding practitioners of fine and applied arts with varied practices, backgrounds and styles.

All of the work in the exhibition and the South West Academy's new hardback publication ‘Art, People and Place’ will be available to purchase throughout the exhibition.

Coordinating activities :

Wednesday 13 January 6pm - 8pm : a guided tour of the exhibition by Prof. Alan Cotton, FRSA. £3 (including a glass of wine). Join highly respected artist and founder member of SWAc as he introduces the exhibition, discussing specific paintings and different painting techniques.

Saturday 13 February 11am - 1pm : A family workshop with artist Robert Mountjoy, aimed at ages 8 to 12 yrs, £2 per child – limited spaces, booking essential. Robert Mountjoy will share the storybook he has created from an old family tale and this workshop will guide you to make your own story book. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
