Spooktacular Halloween Party

THG will be celebrating Halloween this Half Term with a spooktacular party on Saturday 29 October.

This family-friendly event is part of the national Museums at Night festival, which runs from 27-29 October. The fun-packed evening will include art activities as well as food and music and coordinates with the gallery’s community exhibition People’s Paolozzi.

Families can join skilled artist Willem Montagne to create their own silhouette shadow puppet and watch it in a performance. Kids can also get up close to creepy creatures or build a bat box for their garden. They can have some scary face painting and explore the garden for spooky treats.

Pizza Buona will be serving delicious wood-fired pizzas alongside a crêpe stall, hot chocolate for little trick-or-treaters and there will be a DJ and bar.

Angela Blackwell, THG Curator said: “Last year’s Museums at Night party had a fantastic family atmosphere and will continue to be one of the highlights of our year. We’ll have indoor and outdoor activities so come whatever the weather!”

Halloween Party – Saturday 29 October, 5-9pm (art activities till 8pm). Free admission and activities, donations welcome. Pay bar and food.
