THG were thrilled to welcome over 300 people to their Museums at Night Garden Party on the evening of the Royal Wedding.

With music from Dr. Stomp and professional stilt walkers dressed up as bride and groom, THG were celebrating not only the Royal Wedding but the many weddings that took place at history of Elmfield House during its history as a registry office. This was also the last opportunity to see the Mechanical Art exhibition – A Curious Turn, and to make some take-home automata. One of THG’s most popular exhibitions ever, it has brought over 4,000 people to Honiton. The gallery reached over 500 children and young people with the automata workshops they have taken out to 13 local schools.

Anna Aroussi – Project Coordinator said, “We have really enjoyed hosting this exhibition, it’s great having a show that EVERYBODY loves, and it was just brilliant winding it up with a bang on Saturday night!”
